What a bizarre product this Youkai Douchuuki is! A completely atypical, truly mystical platformer based entirely on Shinto rites and beliefs, and in this sense very similar to Hell Explorer.
On paper, the game's principle respects all the clichés of the genre, and propels Ghost Travel Story to the rank of a second-rate Son Son II. A little guy wandering through forests, caves and lakes, jumping from floating cloud to floating cloud, that's what you get when you play this title. To defend himself from hostile fauna, the hero can throw small pellets of energy, which are always useful, or, in exchange for a little concentration, generate a large praline. Great, and original to boot.
