Synopsis

The player takes control of the main character in the first three animated adaptations of the series, the Godzilla-like Zoid known as Gojulas. The game combines traditional RPG elements, such as moving through cities, interacting with characters, and exploring a vast tiled world map. However, when encountering enemies, the game switches to a first-person view, allowing you to fight other Zoids from a Battlezone-like perspective. The world view system uses a feature called "symbolic encounters", allowing the player to see enemy Zoids pursuing and attacking them. Combat is triggered when the player enters the same space as an enemy Zoid, at which point they can choose to flee or attack.
