Agent 64: Spies Never Die, the spiritual successor to GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, launches August 11, 2026
Solo developer Replicant D6 confirmed on July 13, 2026 the release date for Agent 64: Spies Never Die, a spy FPS directly inspired by GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark on the Nintendo 64: the game launches on PC via Steam on August 11, 2026. Players take on the role of agent John Walker, facing off against his arch-nemesis Dominic Pulp, across fourteen missions blending infiltration, hostage rescues, document theft, and database hacking across settings ranging from a snowy nightclub to a secret base.
True to the spirit of N64-era FPS games, the fourteen solo missions can also be played in online co-op, alongside several competitive multiplayer modes ranging from classic deathmatch to capture-the-flag variants, playable both online and in local split-screen, the genre's signature feature back in the day.
The game even brings back the era's typical cheat codes, including a "big head" mode and options like infinite ammo or reloads, directly inherited from the secret menus of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark that an entire generation of players unlocked with a controller in hand.
A playable demo of Agent 64: Spies Never Die is already available for free on the game's Steam page, which also lists the full range of game modes and the first screenshots.
