Synopsis

World Cup 2002 is the official game of the 17th FIFA World Cup, which takes place in Korea and Japan between May 31 and June 30. It's based on the FIFA Soccer 2002 engine, so experienced FIFA players can get used to it fairly quickly.

It is based on the 2002 World Cup – Korea and Japan, and includes every country that qualified for the World Cup, and much more. Small statistics are shown for each country: their last biggest victory, their World Cup appearances, etc.

The stadium and all the players are really detailed. The resolution of the player's textures is so high that you can easily recognize most of them. The stadium is large and impressive, filled with colorful crowds.

As in FIFA Soccer 2002, the animations were made using real players, with motion sensors. So, new animations have been added: new sliding, falling and much more.

And the most recent novelty of the 2002 FIFA World Cup is the aerial ball control model. You can take balls out of the air and have much more control with them, creating great goals from the air.
