Synopsis

Set in a parallel world resembling the Taishō period of Japan, people discovered the powerful blood swords, the titular Akai Katana. Requiring human sacrifice to unleash their immense destructive power, these swords were used by the empire to crush neighboring countries. However, all the bloodshed and power gained from sacrificing close family members has caused some swordsmen to reconsider their decision. With new fighter jets and powered swords at their disposal, this small group of rebels now fight against the tyrannical empire.
