Synopsis

Yoshikazu Takeuchi (born February 27, 1955 in Wakayama Prefecture) is a Japanese writer of fan guides, novels and radio co-host. His work was the basis for the Satoshi Kon animated film Perfect Blue and the 2002 live-action adaptation.

Akazu no ma (aka Akazu no Aida) is a strange audio novel game, especially due to the lack of characters in the game as they never appear on screen, that to advance between locations the game uses an FMV sequence, and that the game is really slow to advance through the story.

The gameplay is the classic of a sound novel game, in certain parts of the game the player is invited to choose between different options which will take the story in different ways and which will make the game have different endings depending on these choices.

The story (written by Yoshikazu Takeuchi) is futuristic, taking place in the near future where the player character arrives at a high-rise building in a helicopter and as soon as he arrives, strange things start happening (he listens to girl screams, strange noises, etc.).
