Synopsis

Alien Logic is based on the Skyrealms of Jorune role-playing game system. The player controls a single character; there is no party in the game. Although there is a story to follow, most of the game is open-ended and devoted to exploring Jorune, finding valuable items and crystals (which increase the hero's parameters), and fighting enemies. Explore mode uses a side-scrolling perspective; the player can enter combat mode when an enemy is nearby. Combat takes place on the same screen as exploration and is action-based. Combat relies heavily on magic (Isho); casting spells depletes Isho's bar. Spell sequences are called dyshas and can be offensive or defensive. Preparing dyshas combinations in advance and then using them on enemies (by clicking on them) is an essential combat strategy.
