Synopsis

Master of Orion is a competitive interstellar conquest game that combines exploration and conflict. You play as the immortal emperor tasked with shaping the future of your race as you come into contact with neighboring races. Your goal is simple: control most of the known galaxy and eliminate anyone who stands in your way.

As ruler, you have the final say in your race’s destiny: you must decide how to allocate planetary resources, where to deploy your star fleets, which races to fight, and with which to ally. You begin by controlling your home planet, from which you can explore and colonize neighboring star systems. Your initial decisions will focus primarily on rapidly developing colonies into productive worlds, choosing which technologies to prioritize, and deciding which star systems to colonize.

However, the real challenge begins when contact is established with other races, and complex strategies must be devised to manage diplomacy, sabotage, espionage, trade, and interstellar combat.
