Synopsis

Long ago, an evil spirit known as Mumm'hotep plunged the land of Egypt into eternal darkness. A deadly curse has spread across this once peaceful civilization. The gods had to send a man to face this threat, the sand warrior...Anubis. The player is armed with an arsenal consisting of the Scepter of Ra and the Canopic Bombs, with this, Anubis sets out to save Egypt once and for all! In this game, the player will face legions of evil enemies across nine gameplay levels. The player controls Anubis in third person through levels with platforming puzzles and enemies that he eliminates by swinging his staff or shooting energy balls. In each level, Anubis must find eight pyramids that open the portal to complete the stage. Contrary to the title, this is not a sequel to a previous game.
