Synopsis

Space strategy game designed by Nathan Lamont, first published by Changeling Software in 1998 then taken over as shareware by Ambrosia Software the following year, the original publisher having gone bankrupt at the very time of launch. His discovery is due to the zoom: the view passes seamlessly from close combat, where piloting skill counts, to the overall map from which one commands one's fleets. This continuity between action and strategy, rare at the time, earned him a lasting reputation. Nathan Lamont opened the source code in 2008, allowing the game to survive long after the end of classic Mac OS.
