Synopsis

Balance of the Planet is an environmental management simulation.nnnnIt is the successor to Balance of Power.nnnnChris Crawford seems to have a particular taste for issues of global concern. Balance of Power dealt with politics in the Cold War, its successor Balance of the Planet simulates nothing less than the Earth's ecosystem. Although Maxis' Sim Earth is often considered the first "ecosim", the title rightfully goes to Crawford's game. However, both games are equally interesting because they use two very different approaches to an extremely complex subject.
