Synopsis

This German skill game keeps its promises. Balance is a lesson in applied gravity: guide a ball towards one or more targets by tilting the plane on which it rests, like in those little plastic toys that drive you crazy. This simple premise is made difficult by the maze-like layout of the levels, which go beyond the "A to B" routine, asking you to hit a certain number of targets, in no particular order. You must reach all targets within a limited time, otherwise you have to start again. If the ball falls off the edge, one in ten lives is lost. Special fields such as springboards, accelerators or crumbling tiles test your reflexes; some levels even rotate. Balance uses vector graphics to draw flat, untextured fields for the ball to roll over. The plane is tilted using the mouse. Every few levels you get a password that allows you to directly access this map. Despite this, Balance is extremely difficult and is only recommended for players with *a lot* of patience.nn
