Synopsis

You play as Caleb, a member of a mysterious cult called the Cabal, somewhere at the end of the 19th century. He is part of a very closed circle called "The Chosen" which brings together the elite troop of the cult, in the service of the god Chernobog. One day, when all the members are invited by Chernobog, he decides to ban the entire circle for an unknown reason, and to sentence its members to death. Everyone is taken away by one of Chernobog's henchmen. Caleb is buried alive but mysteriously comes back to life many years later. He then sets out in search of his companions: Ophelia, his beloved, guarded by the stone Gargoyle Cheogh. His two other companions (Ishmael and Gabriella) are the Spider Shial and Cerberus, the two-headed dog. After a difficult reunion, Caleb goes to confront the one who put him six feet under, Chernobog himself.
