Synopsis

Prolific on the PC platform, Activision's Cabela line brings virtual hunting to the solid PlayStation console for the first time with this release. The gameplay is designed to recreate the full experience of hunting, which requires sense, skill and sportsmanship. Authenticity is enhanced with accessories such as Cabela's-branded maps, vehicles and hunting equipment.
Both components of the game allow hunters to demonstrate their skills in a series of competitions hunting deer, elk and other prey, or to help the Department of Natural Resources control the wolf and bear population. A special X-ray mode even allows the virtual hunter to see through their target's internal organs, to line up the best shot for a quick, clean kill. Adjustable skill settings help provide a meaningful challenge to players of varying experience.
