Synopsis

Calcolo! is a hybrid puzzle and shooter in the style of Twinkle Star Sprites. The game plays like a scrolling Puyo Puyo, except the player can shoot useless blocks and perform a number of flashy special attacks. A stacking puzzle in which numbered balls fall from the sky onto the screen of the player and their opponents. You must then shoot these balls to rotate them and make the screen disappear. A very neat presentation with shoot em up type backgrounds and special moves that clear the screen in no time. An intriguing mix of genres.
