Synopsis

Once upon a time, the Balls of Light illuminated the kingdom of Alefgard, keeping its winters short and maintaining its peace. However, a man capable of taming dragons and therefore known as the Dragon Lord, was corrupted by his magical studies. He attacked Tantegel Castle and stole the balls of light, causing monsters to move throughout the land. A valiant hero named Erdrick, who had obtained the Balls of Light for the kingdom in the first place, attempted to defeat the Dragon Lord and disappeared without a trace. Many years later, during the reign of King Lorik XVI, the Dragon Lord kidnapped Princess Gwaelin and took her to Charlock Castle. One day, a knight appears before the king, claiming to be the descendant of Erdrick. He is entrusted with the mission of defeating the Dragon Lord, as predicted by the prophet Mahetta.
