Synopsis

FINAL FANTASY II is the highly anticipated sequel to the original FINAL FANTASY, released in Japan in 1988. The game tells the bitter and beautiful story of four orphaned war heroes who find themselves drawn into a conflict between the hostile Palamecia Empire and the rebel resistance. By abandoning conventional levels in favor of a skill system that allows players to customize their characters' growth and incorporating a key term memory system that makes dialogue an integral part of the game, this game has sparked the spirit of innovation that the series is known for. This version also contains the bonus dungeons added in later editions of the game: Soul of Rebirth and Arcane Maze.
