Synopsis

2160. Beam technology, energy shields, and ground propulsion systems have revolutionized ground combat, transforming it into high-speed, large-scale battles. Global powers like the Pacific Combine and the European League clash and compete for territory with Grav Tanks, Striders, and Leviathans. Play as a commander overseeing one of these battles and battle against the computer or another player to demonstrate tactical intelligence.

Firezone brings tactical wargaming from paper to the computer screen. Your main view is a hexagonal battle map with up to seven different terrain types, showing stacks of infantry, artillery, armor, and command bases. The game turn is structured, with players alternating movements, shots and reprisals. The game goes beyond a tabletop wargame by allowing hidden units and providing a map editor for creating your own scenarios (nine are included).
