Synopsis

The game includes exhibition games and tournament games. In exhibition mode, you can choose to play either a game or a shootout. In tournament mode, you play until you beat all the other teams. At the end of the tournament, the player must face one last team, Nintendo. When the tournament has been won, the player receives a code to play the game in a more advanced mode.
Originally, Formation Soccer was a PC Engine native game, which was released around the time of the 1990 FIFA World Cup. The series was later ported to Super Nintendo and, ultimately, Nintendo 64.
