Synopsis

Green Green takes place in the Japanese countryside, in a region without any particular charm, dotted with forests and home to an isolated boarding school called Kanenone Gakuen (literally “Academy of the Sound of the Bell”). The exclusively male academy prides itself on its tradition of offering men the opportunity to grow among themselves, sheltered from any external influence.

The protagonist, Yuusuke Takasaki, is a second grade student indifferent to the solitary and austere atmosphere that reigns within the establishment. His three friends, Tadatomo Bacchiguu Ijuuin, Hikaru Ichibanboshi and Taizou Tenjin, on the other hand, have the feeling of being deprived of their youth by the absence of female companions. As summer vacation begins in Kanenone, Yuusuke and his friends wonder about the surprises the change of season has in store for them, when Bacchiguu announces the arrival of a bus full of girls on the school grounds.
