Synopsis

H2O: Footprints in the Sand is a Japanese visual novel for adults. A playable version on PlayStation 2, titled H2O+, followed. This redacted version of adult content features additional storylines and graphics not found in the original version. H2O is Makura's first game; a sequel, vafter, and another opus were released in October 2007. The gameplay of H2O follows a narrative framework offering predefined scenarios with possible interactions, and emphasizes the charm of the three main female characters. Two game modes are available: “Blindness Effect” and “Normal Effect”. The first exploits the protagonist's blindness, while the second removes additional gameplay elements linked to the Blindness Effect. The story is divided into three parts: the initial meeting, followed by a separation and reunion, and finally the protagonist's choice among the three young women, with whom he will spend the rest of the game.
