Halls of Montezuma - A Battle History of the U.S. Marine Corps
Synopsis
In The Blind Command, the player plays a corps commander at the head of several divisions, responsible for the lives of thousands of soldiers. He leads historic battles, from the wars against Mexico to World War I, World War II and the Korean War. The difficulty lies in the fact that commanders are often “blind”: they rely on the reports of their men. No direct contact with the battlefield: only troop reports and orders given by the player are available. Soldiers must carry out orders, but many unpredictable factors come into play: the weather, the enemy, the terrain, exhaustion and lack of supplies. The player must strive to effectively organize his troops and make the best decisions possible, while managing the uncertainty and risks associated with command.
