Synopsis
International Cricket Captain, also known as ICC, is a series of cricket management video games from Empire Interactive and Childish Things since 2009's International Cricket Captain, before Empire was placed into administration. It gained popularity in 1998 after the release of the first PC game in the series. The latest version of the game is International Cricket Captain 2016.
The concept for International Cricket Captain came from Chris Child, who programmed the original game engine as part of a university project. The player takes charge of an English county cricket team with the aim of leading it to success in the domestic competition and is eventually invited to take up the position of England manager. It is also possible to take control of one of the other Test nations in subsequent matches of the ICC series.
