Synopsis

The goal is to get the highest possible dan (karate rank, determined by belt color) and become world champion - and of course, get the highest score. The karatekas compete on side-view screens, the decor representing real locations (New York, Egypt, Japan, etc.). Between combat phases, there are short action sequences during which the player can accumulate bonus points. These include deflecting bouncing balls, breaking wooden planks, and more.
