Synopsis

Cradle of Rome 2 is the sequel to Cradle of Rome. Just like its predecessor, it is a puzzle game played on a board filled with different objects. The objective is to remove all objects on the blue tiles on the board. This is done by creating a match of three or more tiles with an identical element, horizontally or vertically. Matches with the default tiles refill the board immediately when everything drops. To get rid of the bruises, you have to put them in a match. The level is won when all blue tiles are removed before the time runs out. The main Adventure mode consists of 100 levels across 5 eras with increasing difficulty and new tiles appearing later in the game. During gameplay, the player gains resources which can be used between levels to transform a small village into an empire. Blueprints for new buildings are obtained through a matching pairs mini-game. The game's visuals consist of hand-painted graphics. There are also two unlockable modes (Blitz and Tournament) and 15 additional levels after completing the main mode with all rewards. For the free version of the browser, Blitz and Tourney modes are not available.
