Synopsis

The Neverhood (also called The Neverhood Chronicles, released in Japan as Klaymen Klaymen: The Mystery of Neverhood) is a 1996 point-and-click adventure video game developed by The Neverhood, Inc. and published by DreamWorks Interactive for Microsoft Windows. The game follows the adventure of a clay character named Klaymen as he discovers his origins and purpose in a world made entirely of clay. When the game was initially released, it was unique in that all of its animation was done entirely in claymation, including all sets, rather than 2 or 3 dimensional computer graphics like many other games at the time. The gameplay mainly consists of guiding the main character Klaymen and solving puzzles to advance in the game. As the player advances through different areas of the game, different video sequences help advance the plot. In addition to being unique, The Neverhood aimed to be original and humorous, as evidenced by the game's characters, music, and plot sequence.
