Synopsis

Macross Plus: Game Edition released in 2000 exclusively in Japan is an adaptation of the OAV Macross Plus. Developed by Takara and published by Shoeisha Co. Ltd. it features some characters from the original animation, and includes parts of the original soundtrack, as well as some cut scenes as excerpts from the film edition of Macross Plus. It also uses the mechas used in the OAV, as well as some units from the original Macross series. It also introduces a new mecha, the Neo Glaug (a transformable version of the Zentradi combat module). Unlike other Macross games, transformation is not possible during the level; At each level, the player's unit is fixed for that level. In addition to the single-player story mode, two players can compete in a versus mode.
