Mahjong Taikai 2 Special
Synopsis
Mahjong Taikai II was first released on the SNES console and ported to Playstation. These are single-player games (like in card games, the Mahjong player has hidden hands, so single-screen multiplayer wouldn't work very well) with virtual opponents. The Mahjong rules used are the Japanese Riichi (Reach) rules, which are a somewhat simplified version of the traditional Mahjong rules where the emphasis is on building special hands to get a lot of points. Mahjong players should note that the terms used in this game are Japanese. rather than Chinese, although they are similar so it's not difficult to adjust.
