Synopsis

Suguru Misato is a middle school student living in Tokyo. He lost both his parents: his mother, a half-saint, and a few years later, his father. While he believed that the latter had died in an accident during a business trip, it turns out that he was actually a commander in VESPER and superior to Mahoro, who fell in combat during the war against the aliens. Although family members offered to take him in, Suguru refused and lived alone before Mahoro's arrival.
