Synopsis

Some time after the Dopplertown Crisis seen in Mega Man X3, Dr. Cain's Laboratory receives the mandate to design a military force complementary to the Maverick Hunters. This armed force, made up entirely of Reploids, was born under the name “Repliforce”.
However, barely six months after taking office, Repliforce was deemed ineffective and potentially dangerous. The situation becomes explosive when a formidable attack causes the fall of Sky Lagoon, a vast floating city, killing hundreds, even thousands of humans and Reploids. Accused of having orchestrated the tragedy, the Repliforce immediately responded by declaring its independence, even if it meant resorting to force of arms.
At Hunter headquarters, things are serious. In order to prevent a major war, X and Zero are sent to carry out strategic strikes against the renegade group.
X and Zero are playable as desired.
