Synopsis

A simulation of the 10-event Olympic decathlon, this early game was actually a series of 10 consecutive arcade games. The player used the keyboard to control their character's speed in a race or when to throw the javelin, for example. Decathlon also had a training mode that allowed you to play any event individually.

An interesting feature of the game is that it is possible to play with up to six players in hot seat mode. Several events were played by a single player at a time, but most races were played with two players, allowing you to compete against other players. You were scored based on your performance in each event and the player with the highest total at the end was awarded the gold medal. The ultimate challenge was to try to beat Bruce Jenner, winner of the decathlon at the 1976 Games...
