Synopsis

Midway's first extreme sports title that takes on America's great pastime...baseball. Take control of all your favorite Major League Baseball teams and players, armed with their real-life stats, attributes, abilities and attitudes. Slugfest features many playable mini-games, a season mode, a quick play mode, and an exhibition mode.

So, what makes MLB Slugfest extreme? The game is far from being a realistic baseball simulation. It's a full-fledged arcade game. Blazing fastballs that take out batters (and lower their stats), home runs out of bounds, dropkicks on the catcher as you sprint to home plate, punches in the kidneys of the batter who just ruined your no-hitter, and many other brutal tactics that take sportsmanship to an all-time low.
