Synopsis

The story takes place during periods of war in Japan. The player is tasked with achieving warlord Oda Nobunaga's ultimate goal: the conquest and unification of Japan. Selecting Nobunaga is optional, as the player can also choose from a variety of other regional daimyo of the period.

Nobunaga no Yabou - Haouden is the fifth game in Koei's Nobunaga's Ambition series. This is once again a historical war simulation set in Japan in the 16th century. Up to eight players can participate in one of three different scenarios with the ultimate goal of unifying all of Japan. Nearly 60 different real-life warlords and their territories are represented and available to play. The three scenarios available are Nobunaga's rise to power in 1551, the Tenka Fubu campaign to Kyoto in 1568, and Nobunaga's death in 1582.
