Synopsis

PGA Tour Golf introduced many preconceived ideas that have since been found in this type of game. The three-click control method (the first to initiate the swing, the second to adjust the power and over-swing, the third to adjust the draw or fade) allows a multitude of different shots and requires a sense of timing.

Four courses are included, one of which is a fantastic links course designed by the programmers. Some holes are fiendish, with bunkers, water hazards and trees, and the need to plan strategies to get the best approach to the green.

At a tournament, there are 60 opponents, each representing the best American golfers - ten of them appear with tactical advice for each hole.
