Synopsis

The first game in the Gremlin series of football management games. You start by managing a team in the Conference (the fifth tier of English football) and look to progress through the leagues, either by improving your existing team or securing positions at more prestigious clubs.

The functions at your disposal include selecting training regimes, planning tactics for each match based on the opponent's strengths and weaknesses, finding new players, including young prospects, and organizing sponsorship and stadium improvements (in order to attract more fans).

The transfer system is a crucial part of the game, as you look to sign players (who are rated broadly in each of the main skill areas) against other teams who want them, and sell the players you don't need. You have an overdraft, but be careful not to exceed it.
