Synopsis

Taito plays the cross-licensing game by mixing its 3-D fighting game Psychic Force with its 2-D puzzler Puzzle Bobble to generate Psychic Force Puzzle Taisen. Basically, Puzzle Taisen is Puzzle Bobble. Bobble fans will immediately recognize the familiar colored spheres and throwing mechanism at the bottom of the screen. What Psychic Force sets apart is a simple story where you play as a psychic fighter battling another psychic in a game that was once the exclusive domain of Taito's burly green dragons and other chubby mascots. The game consists of shooting colored projectiles that aim at groups of spheres of the same color. Touch a string of well-placed spheres and you can send an avalanche of them... The stories and character interaction between the opposing mediums prove mildly interesting and contribute to the sequence of encounters.
