Synopsis

In the 22nd century, humanity achieved world peace. The United Earth Space Alliance (UESA) was able to fully focus on space exploration. In the year 2147, the first colony ship was launched to the asteroid Theta-2. However, the second ship, carrying the colonists, encountered a terrifying disturbance in space. Alien ships emerge from what would later be known as "The Void" and attack the colony ship; the fate of the ten thousand people on board remains unknown. The humans built the inter-dimensional starfighter Radix and sent it into the Void, in a desperate attempt to deal with the alien threat.

Radix: Beyond the Void is a 2.5D shooter in which the player controls a small spaceship and uses mounted weapons to take on mechanized enemies, much like in Descent. Weapons can target individual enemies or trigger explosions that damage large areas; some decorations are also destructible. Game progression is mission-based.
