Synopsis
Ratchet & Clank features Ratchet, a furry alien creature, and Clank, a nerdy little robot, who go in search of Captain Qwark to save the galaxy.
Each of the game's levels consists of huge vistas with extremely detailed buildings visible at all times. This means that a building on the horizon isn't just a "backdrop", Ratchet will definitely explore it. The game includes a number of sub-games, such as a space combat sequence and a number of turret combats.
The game has over twenty levels and includes just as many real-time cut scenes that tell the story. The story is non-linear, requiring the player to return to previous levels to complete objectives and choose between multiple paths. There is also a substantial range of weapons, gadgets and accessories to find or purchase as the game progresses.
