Synopsis

Damn, the castle of Elturel is attacked! You hurry to the rescue of Lord Dhelt, whom you find safe and sound. But the perpetrator of the attack managed to escape after seizing Lord Dhelt's medallion. He tasks you with catching up with the assassin and bringing back the sacred medallion, dedicated to the god Helm.
After a long chase, you find his trail and manage to catch up with him in a nearby forest. A violent fight takes place, from which you emerge victorious. But no sooner have you picked up the items he was carrying than you find yourself caught up in the fog! Soon you realize that you have been transported to a world where darkness is eternal. Thick poisonous mists prevent you from leaving this place, and all you have to do is follow the path towards the village of Barovia. Oh sure, you'll have to face the local tyrant, the vampire Strahd, before you can leave...
