Synopsis

Riviera: The Promised Land is a turn-based role-playing game. It follows the traditional role-playing game formula: a once peaceful land is now ravaged by demons and their wars with angels. However, it also incorporates a "dating sim" as a subplot where your character must win the affections of another character.

It has similarities to Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, Golden Sun and many others. It is important to reach high levels so that the game is not too difficult in the end. Progression is similar to Secret of Mana, where a character's weapon skill increases at a different rate than the character's levels.
