Synopsis

Set in ancient Rome, you begin life as a poor slave in Herculaneum, which, like Pompeii, was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Versuvius. Afterwards, you travel to Rome and climb the social ladder, becoming a captain in the army, a senator and eventually emperor of Rome. Four of the game's six levels are adventures, while in the other two levels you control an army attempting to conquer an enemy of Rome. The game is made all the more interesting by the little details that can be observed in the levels, whether it is naked people running in the thermal baths or slaves bought to fight in gladiator games. The game also has RPG aspects, particularly in the way you have the freedom to choose how to deal with different problems.
