Synopsis

Sakigake!! Otokojuku is a 2D fighting game based on the manga series. The fighters are cel-shaded and colored with bright colors for a distinctive look. Fights are presented on a 2D plane and are reminiscent of old-school fighting games where the camera moves closer when the fighters are close and moves away when they are far away from each other. The backgrounds are well-realized, including one where a troop of yankii gangsters seemingly punch the air and another where seated monks sit forlornly in the background.
