Synopsis
In SingStar games, players must sing along to the music to score points. Players interact with their console via SingStar microphones while a video clip plays in the background. The pitch that players should sing is displayed as horizontal gray bars, which function similarly to a musical staff, with the corresponding lyrics displayed at the bottom of the screen. The game analyzes a player's pitch and timing which is compared to the original track, with players scoring points based on the accuracy of their singing. Different modes of SingStar may vary this basic model, but the principle is similar everywhere.
