Synopsis

In ancient times, there were once thirteen wizards. After being kicked out of their homes, they decided to abandon the earth and create their own paradise, a magical world called Aster. To make the world of magic simpler, wizards decided to create various beings using their magic, such as dwarves, elves, and unicorns. The wizards have decided to transmit their souls and their powers to a new breed of cats, entrusting these beings with human sensitivity and magic. The wizards' bodies are gone, but their souls live on to support Aster. They are revered as founding deities in Aster.

Three hundred years later, other magical beings felt threatened by the existence of the cat beings and a war was waged between the countries of Aster. The result of their long war ended with the victory of the cat beings and a split in the hierarchy of the earth. The rebel monster factions were sealed away in a land called the Fog Wall, and peace under the rule of the cats was assured. However, the wars cost survivors the knowledge needed to maintain the magic of their creators. In an attempt to preserve the magic they still possessed, the Cat People created magic academies.

Students at magic academies not only practice and learn sorcery, but they also have the power to train monsters at their command. Cat wizards regularly receive requests from local villages to quell monsters that bother residents. Every wizard dreams of becoming a Soulmaster, an elite master of magic.
