Synopsis

The plot of Strawberry Panic! revolves around the lives of teenage girls who attend one of three affiliated all-girls schools that share a campus and dormitories. The schools are: St. Miator Girls' Academy, St. Spica Girls' Institute and St. Lulim Girls' School. The story revolves around twelve characters, four in each school. The main character of the story is Nagisa Aoi, a young girl entering her fourth year at St. Miator after transferring from another school. Upon first entering the campus grounds, she is overcome with joy at the general appearance of the surroundings, but her joy quickly turns to sorrow when she accidentally trips down a hill, causing her to become lost and disoriented. While walking around the park trying to figure out her whereabouts, Nagisa meets an older student named Shizuma Hanazono, who happens to be the Star of Astraea Hill, a very important person who acts as a representative between the different schools and has specific tasks she must complete. Nagisa is instantly overwhelmed by Shizuma's beauty, and after Shizuma kisses her forehead, Nagisa loses consciousness and wakes up in the school infirmary. In an adjacent chair is another girl of the same age, Tamao Suzumi, who informs him that they are going to become roommates in the dorm.
