Sumou (simple 1500 Series) is a 2D Sumo fighting game

Sumo is a full-contact competitive sport in which one wrestler (rikishi) attempts to force another wrestler to exit a circular ring (dohyo) or to touch the ground other than with the soles of the feet. This sport originates from Japan, the only country where it is practiced professionally.

It is generally considered a gendai budo (a modern Japanese martial art), although this definition is incorrect as the sport has a history spanning centuries.
