Synopsis

Supaplex is a puzzle game reminiscent of Boulder Dash. The player controls Murphy, a red character resembling Pac-Man. The objective is to reach the exit, which only opens after collecting a certain number of Infotrons (usually all of the ones in the level). The game takes place inside a computer, so some elements of the levels are described using computer terms. These include destructible RAM chips, indestructible computer hardware, utility disks (which are explosives), terminals, and ports (one- or two-way doors). The most common enemy is a zonk, a rock that falls and rolls downward, and explodes if it comes into contact with some, but not all, game elements. One of the most common enemies is a scissor-like enemy called a snik snak, which always moves in a predictable pattern.
