Synopsis

Thunder Force 5 is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up video game. The story of Thunder Force V takes the player away from the conflict between the Galactic Federation and the ORN Empire as depicted in previous games, and brings us to Earth in the future. At the very end of Thunder Force IV, the pilots of the LEO-04 gunship "Rynex" were forced to eject from their ship due to a massive explosion caused by the destruction of their last target, the Vios Fortress.
