Synopsis

Tokimeki Memorial 2 is a dating game developed and published by Konami and the second game in the Tokimeki Memorial series.
Tokimeki Memorial 2 was released for the PlayStation in 1999. It comes on 5 CDs, with unrivaled graphics and voice acting, as well as a revolutionary "Emotional Voice System (EVS)" that allows girls to say the player's name. Only Hikari Hinamoto and Kasumi Asou have the ability to use the EVS system in the game. All other girls' EVS data was on free CDs in the Tokimeki Memorial 2 magazine "Hibikino Watcher".
Each of the first three magazines came with a CD containing three data of girls per CD (the girls chosen on the CDs were also the three girls featured on the cover of the corresponding magazine). All girls in the game have SVE data, except for Maeka Kudanshita, who always calls the main player "Shounen" (young man in Japanese). The game itself was very successful in Japan. Its gameplay follows the same pattern as the first, but with less emphasis on bombs and more on solving unique challenges specific to each girl. Therefore, a different strategy had to be developed for each party.
The game and SVE side disc were released in Japan on the PlayStation Store on November 25, 2009, exactly ten years after the game's original release date.
