Synopsis

A digital pet (also known as a virtual pet, artificial pet, or pet-raising simulation) is a type of artificial human companion. They are usually kept for companionship or enjoyment. People may keep a digital pet instead of a real pet.
Digital pets are distinct in that they have no concrete physical form other than the hardware they run on. Interaction with virtual pets may or may not be goal oriented. If it is, then the user must keep it alive as long as possible and often help it to grow into higher forms. Keeping the pet alive and often growing requires 'feeding', grooming and playing with the pet. If the interaction is not goal oriented, the user can explore the character of the pet and enjoy the feeling of building a relationship with it.
Digital pets can be "simulations of real animals, as in the Petz series" or "fantasy ones like the Tamagotchi". Unlike biological simulations, the pet does not usually reproduce. They generally do not die, and they can regenerate.
Uchi ni Pochi ga Yattekita - in my pocket is a digital pet simulator in which the player takes the role of an elementary school boy or girl that at the beginning have to choose between 5 different dog breeds to grow and raise it. During the game days the player have to take care of the little dog, giving him food, clean him, dress him, he can also punish or caress him, and also take him to the dog to different places of the town like the park, the school, the beach, streets, etc.
The game takes place during a month time that is the time the player's mother gives him as a trial period to take care of the dog. The game also features pocketstation compatibility to see some dogs tricks there.
